Sediver USA located in West Memphis, AR has a need for a Staff Accountant who has the ability to provide general accounting support in a manufacturing environment.
Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for issuing timely and complete financial statements under local GAAP(Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS(International Financial Reporting Standards), monitors compliance and company procedures, coordinates monthly closing process and prepares forecast and budget. This position reports directly to the Plant Controller and interfaces directly with other local management team members.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Assist with month end close activites
Documents financial transactions by entering account information(AP/AR & JE)
Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options
Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports
Substantiates finanical transactions by auditing documents
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
Reconciles financial descrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Possess knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
Adheres to all Health, Safety & Environmental requirements that are defined within set work instructions
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 5 years of previous related experience (portion of the experience being in a manufacturing setting preferred)
Ability to travel up to 25%

Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office(Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Proficiency with SAP Financial(FI) module
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Interpersonal communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP) and IFRS(International Financial Reporting Standards)
