The Revenue Cycle Recovery Consultant is responsible for analyzing and interpreting healthcare insurance third-party payer contracts, government and commercial contracts, identifying potential underpayments, and evaluates contract terms to identify the denied or underpaid claims.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Revenue Cycle Recovery Consultant:
Proficient in healthcare insurance payer contract interpretation and facility billing
Evaluate accuracy of contract calculations for claims and payment data loaded into the contract management system
Review contract interpretation with facilitators and payers/insurance companies
Identify and document process improvement areas to hospital to include billing inefficiencies
Subject Manager Expert for account variance clarifications
Qualifications and Competencies of the Revenue Cycle Recovery Consultant:
Bachelor?s Degree preferred
Healthcare Denial Management and Delinquent account experience
Familiar with hospital EMR?s (EPIC, Cerner, etc.)
Medical Terminology
Microsoft Excel
