Sales - Audiovisual Job Opening in Warwick, Rhode island - We are a local company that provides installation and integration of audiovisual solutions, that is seeking a high energy and self-driven salesman. The salesman will be responsible for exceeding sales revenue and profit goals. Developing and maintaining valued client relationships, expanding the company's current client base and developing and maintaining professional skills in this industry. This position typically reports to a Sales Manager. Responsibilities: Represent the company in a professional manner: be able to effectively articulate and present the overall product and service line. Determine client needs and match product(s) or a complete system to meet those needs; prepare proposals to include: System description and scope of work Project timeline Accurate site surveys Accurate pricing at margin targets for equipment and labor Obtain engineering assistance as necessary Obtain management approval prior to presentation to clients Provide accurate and timely communication updates to the client throughout the installation process Participate in sign-off as required Submit change orders in a timely manner Responsible for developing and executing quarterly sales plan to expand existing client base and generate new business opportunities to, at minimum, meet established gross profit quota. Perform at a level that meets customer expectations and meets or exceeds established quotas. Attend and participate in monthly office sales meetings Follow up on leads within 24 hours of receipt. Follow all sales procedures and policies, to include, but not exclusive to: Correct completion and submittal of orders Correct preparation of proposals Contract process/terms and conditions Timely reporting Represent our company, as assigned, at technological briefings, pre-bid conferences and trade shows. Participate in training, certification and professional development activities as prescribed by management. Training clients on all products installed. Job Requirements: Successful track record in audiovisual or high tech sales with 2-5 years experience; IT, VTC or AV background desired. Excellent poise and presentation skills Effective interaction with employees, customers and colleagues Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects. Verbal and written communication skills Problem solving and troubleshooting skills PC proficient College degree preferred Proven proficiency working in a Microsoft Windows and office computer environment. Including, but not limited to: QuickBooks, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent spelling, grammar and business proposal preparation skills. Creativity and independent thinking. Independent and self motivated. Familiar with Smart Technologies, Tandberg, Polycom, Extron, and Crestron product lines.
