Business Office Coordinator Job Opening in Essex Junction, Vermont - Position Summary : The Business Office Coordinator is responsible for performing human resources-related functions within the community. Responsible for processing all new hire information, payroll service, and communicating benefits. The BOC will assist the Executive Director in the processing of invoices and resident payments, as well as other administrative duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
Two or more years of management experience, preferably in senior living communities
College degree may be required in place of experience
General experience a plus
Ability to delegate assignments and communicate with other departments on a daily basis
Demonstrate knowledge of basic accounting and human resource functions
Possess a general understanding of benefits including healthcare, dental, and vacation/sick time accruals
Ability to effectively communicate with family members regarding billing questions/concerns
Able to handle multiple priorities
Possess strong organizational and time management skills
Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
Demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the community
Essential Duties:
Maintain employee files and medical files on every active employee within the community; ensure proper documentation is signed and collected
Perform HR functions including, but not limited to background checks, new hire paperwork and payroll processing
Maintains training logs in accordance with federal and/or state regulations
Performs Medicaid billing monthly to ensure payment in a timely manner
Tracks employee evaluations to ensure each employee is evaluated after 90 days and yearly going forward
Tracks PPD testing to ensure employees are tested on a yearly basis
Ensures all CPR and CMT/CNA licenses are up-to-date per state regulations
Handles invoices as they pertain to administrative department
Actively recruits new applicants through paper and online advertising
