Payroll Specialist - PART TIME Job Opening in Lansdale, Pennsylvania - The Part-time Payroll Specialist assumes primary responsibility for the processing of clients? payroll. The primary responsibilities include processing, analyzing payroll as well as processing garnishments and tax information.
This is a part-time role, up to 24 hours per week. Can have flexibility with days and time, as long as it occurs during normal operations.
Some of the essential duties and responsibilities:
Presents a professional, welcoming first contact to all clients, vendors, staff ? by phone, and e-mail
Processes, reviews and approves biweekly, semi-monthly and monthly payroll for clients in accordance with established policies and procedures
Reviews timesheets, wage computations and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
Calculates and inputs payroll adjustments and retroactive changes
Manages all child support and garnishments court orders and submits for payment
Reviews and verifies personnel changes including all new hires, benefits, salary changes and terminations entered into the payroll system
Enters and maintains all employee tax information
Records and submits all employee direct deposits
Answers payroll related questions or concerns
Processes payroll related reports for management on a biweekly and monthly basis
Maintains updated regarding payroll laws and tax rate changes, as well as policy
Assists in HR related tasks as assigned
Position Requirements:
Working knowledge of Payroll: principles, concepts and practices regarding payroll and accounting
3+ years of payroll processing; ADP Preferred
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
Demonstrated skills in time management, organizational skills, problem-solving and teamwork
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and support multiple people at multiple sites
Strong customer focus orientation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Technical/Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
Computer literate including spreadsheets, word processing, e-mail, web
Experience with Paychex, ADP and other payroll processing software preferred
