Accountant Job Opening in Marietta, Georgia - Marietta, GA-based medium-sized firm is seeking a full-time accountant. The company offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package. For related companies, the position will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Assists with Accounts Payable and Receivable ? recording/paying vendor invoices; customer billing/cash receipts;
Preparation of daily remote deposits;
Assists with preparation of financial statements and budgets, and assist with month-end closing of multiple companies;
Preparation of supporting work papers for all balance sheet accounts;
Assist with annual tax return preparation and financial audit;
Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Corporate Controller;
Adhere to strict confidentiality policies due to the nature of financial data.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting preferred;
Minimum of two years accounting experience required ? Will be working with joint venture, mentor/protégé, and projects;
Working knowledge of Excel and Word ? experience with Timberline accounting system preferred;
Self-starter and detail-oriented;
Ability to work independently, and also within a team to build relationships and interact with business partners;
Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload to meet management needs.
