Reimbursement Coordinator Job Opening in Kansas City, Missouri - As an Industry-Leading Hospital Management Company, EmpowerHMS is searching for a Reimbursement Coordinator for our Corporate Office in North Kansas City.
This position will be responsible for providing relevant information, processes & workflow in support of all activities necessary for accurate & optimized Medicare & Medicaid reimbursement. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: acting as liaison (to a major CPA firm) providing support related to reimbursement projects, initiatives, etc.; accumulating & maintaining all information, statistics, reports, communication, etc. related to reimbursement & cost reporting; coordinate the preparation of interim cost reports; maintain a working knowledge of Medicare & Medicaid Cost Reimbursement rules, regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess a min. of 2 years previous experience in Health Care Medicare/Medicaid Reimbursement; preparation & auditing of Critical Access Hospital Medicare Cost Reports. Associates Degree in Accounting (or related degree) required; Bachelors degree preferred.
A demonstrated ability to oversee multiple facilities, filing interim cost reports, knowledge of rate setting, audits, etc; & assist in the development of process change at the corporate & local hospital level would be a strong plus!
