Mobile Developer - Android/IOS
Description
As a Android/IOS Mobile Developer, you are part of a team and will be working closely with or Product leads to build and evolve our consumer and enterprise applications for deployment on Android mobile devices. You will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable code, and adding value to our existing mobile application framework. This role requires graphic design skills, as you will not only be responsible for backend development but front end UI as well.
Responsibilities
Evaluate new technologies, tools, and device platforms as related to mobile and Android development and provide feasibility assessments, accurate estimates, and identify risks associated with the effort for project implementations
Develop scalable, reliable systems.
Work effectively refining details that will optimize a user's experience.
Interact with internal and external team members in a collaborative manner to gather and analyze technical requirements.
Create prototypes rapidly, synthesize feedback, and develop a production quality release.
Review requirements for any new functionality or enhancements, assess impact on the project timeline and update
the technical documentation for any new requirements which need to be incorporated into the system.
Work on tasks within compressed timelines and complete assignments within communicated schedules.
Work with customer support to troubleshoot and fix issues.
Job Qualifications
5+ years of experience as an mobile application software engineer through all phases of the software development lifecycle and proven experience as a team player from inception through launch.
2+ years as a mobile developer in the Android space (iOS iPhone/iPad SDK experience a plus) and experience with some of the following location based services, system integration, barcode scanning, Bluetooth, system performance, all with a focus on the end-user experience.
Bluetooth experience is strongly desired.
Kotlin experience is strongly desired as well as commonly used Android libraries like Dagger.
Experience with Android Data Binding is a plus as well.
Ability to work in an agile environment and develop from wireframes or just high-level concepts without the presence of detailed requirements or specifications.
Must provide in market samples of work that demonstrate a strong sense of usability from an end-user perspective.
Proven ability to function well in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
