Staff Accountant Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - My client is a global IT company experiencing much growth, with offices in Alexandria, VA. Today, the Controller is looking to hire a Staff Accountant with a vision to grow.
This company offers web based services for productivity and collaboration dedicated to intellectual property with analysis and idea-to-asset management capabilities. Their comprehensive and unique collection of intellectual property data for each stage of the innovation lifecycle has set a new benchmark for web based IP services. They also offer consulting and research services, as well as online and onsite training.
Going through a rapid growth phase, the Controller is seeking to bring on a Staff Accountant to be her right hand in this newly created position. This individual will be relied upon to prepare closing journal entries in QuickBooks, assist in Financial Statement preparation, and light operational tasks. Over time this candidate will grow in responsibility, compensation, and professional title as the Controller has this trajectory.
The ideal person will have a Bachelor's in Accounting from an accredited university, and at least 1 year of professional experience in: Full cycle of Accounts Receivable, Full cycle of Accounts Payable, Expense reports, CC and Bank Statement Reconciliations.
