Bereavement Coordinator Job Opening in denver, Colorado - Bereavement Coordinator Namaste Hospice is seeking a Bereavement Coordinator with dynamic community and volunteer organizing skills who is able to provide grief support to the Bereaved of Namaste Hospice and the larger community. The successful applicant will understand and be aligned with the principles of Hospice and familiar with the grieving process. Namaste Hospice seeks to shift the dominant paradigm on death and dying to one in which death is not seen as a failure, rather that living well and dying on one�s own terms is an ultimate success. Alternative approaches that help to normalize the grief experience through things like food and community are encouraged. Namaste Hospice has a strong strategic alliance with The Comfort Caf�, a local Community Kitchen that supports an alternative approach to death, dying and grief. A master�s degree in counseling or a related field is preferred. The ability to provide close clinical and practical supervision to students and volunteers is essential. Excellent organizational and computer skills are required in order to track services and maintain contact with the bereaved for a required 13 months of service and support from the hospice after a patient�s death. Must be able to work cooperatively with an integrated hospice team. Services are provided in the community, at The Comfort Caf� and at our Namaste Hospice offices.
