Business Operations Manager Job Opening in Memphis, Tennessee - TITLE : Business Operations Manager
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the operation to ensure consistent high level service quality and customer satisfaction, profitable, cost efficient operations, and compliance with company policies and procedures. Will serve as assistant to the Vice President of Operations to perform those duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Lead, direct and manage the operation to ensure that the staff executes on delivering consistent high quality level service and customer satisfaction; and achieves a profitable, cost efficient operations in compliance with company policies and procedures
Reviews and acts upon, as necessary, all incidents, deviation/exception, and other reports within jurisdiction.
Utilize effective communication or negotiation skills, employing diplomacy and sensitivity to resolve critical or escalated issues affecting the customer, staff, or senior management.
Keeps current on events affecting his/her area of responsibility: accidents, injuries, breaches of policy, inter agency relations, morale, newsworthy events, and superior/poor performance by field personnel.
Personally coach, train and mentor direct reports and provide career development opportunities through training and quality management activities.
Responsible for reviewing performance evaluations of personnel and providing input into the appraisal process.
Ensure safety methods, practices and programs are implemented and maintained.
Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules and adjusts accordingly to ensure adequate staffing levels that support operational demands and business objectives.
Prepares budget recommendations for salaries and equipment within his jurisdiction.
Responsible for a working knowledge of all equipment within jurisdiction.
Reviews Equipment Failure reports for accuracy and completeness.
Assists the Education and Training Department in orientation and other continuing education programs as they pertain to this position.
Responsible for adequate staffing in the Field Operations Department according to Unit Hour Utilization (UHU) and planned budgets
Recommends policy to the Regional VPO, COO and/or Senior Administration.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor?s Degree in Business related field (Administration and Logistics preferred) in addition to 4-6 years? experience in specific mid-level Management.
Experience in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Experience leading and managing large groups of personnel.
Must have strong knowledge and experience of operations specific to an ambulance company. Previous EMS experience preferred but not required.
Must reside within service area and be available to respond to system status overload situations as requested by the Control Center and COO.

Salary: $55,250.00 to $74,750.00 /year
