Cashier and Sales Associate Job Opening in Middletown, Delaware - Hi! Snyder's is a produce store located in the Dutch Farmers Market in Middletown, Delaware. We need someone who can start working immediately ! We strive to create a happy, alert, and hardworking environment within our store. We are looking for responsible, amiable, and hard working people to hire for our business! We are open 3 days a week, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Holiday hours may differ. You are expected to come in at around 7 AM to set up the fruit display and work until close. Thursday's we close at 6, Friday at 7, and Saturday at 4. The responsibilities for this position includes:
-Carrying boxes of fruit
-Organizing the produce display
-Checking the quality of the fruit on display
-Memorizing prices (the hardest part of this job but honestly takes a couple days to get the hang of since a lot of prices are similar)
-Handling the register
-Being kind and courteous to the customers
-Always being attentive to the customer's needs
-Cannot have long nails or really big jewelery
-Must come into work looking presentable (Can't look like you haven't showered for days.)
-Must be appropriately dressed (You can dress casually, ie hoodies and jeans but no sweatpants)
-Must have own reliable transportation/car
Work experience is good but is not required. You can be of any age to work at our store. One thing that is definitely required is that you must never be rude or short with the customers or the staff. That is a given, but I thought I'd just clarify that before receiving any applications. To be honest, this job is super easy and a perfect part time job for anyone interested.
