Colorado Hazardous Environmental (CHE) is a privately held and fast growing company that is a General Abatement Contractor. We have an immediate opportunity for a Accounting Assistant to apply this field of expertise to ours & to join our team in Greater Denver Colorado Area (I-25 & I-70). Proficiency in QUICKBOOKS is required.
MUST HAVE STRONG BOOKKEEPING SKILLS. MUST DEMONSTRATE ABILITY TO PERFORM AS DESCRIBED BELOW**
Position, Skill & Abilities Summary:
As the ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT, you would be responsible for ASSISTING WITH:
Processing A/P and A/R
Some light collections
Payroll
Bank Reconciliations
Posting journal entries
Financial reports
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
Ability to operate calculator, computer, and other general office equipment.
Knowledge of computerized accounting in QuickBooks IS A REQUIREMENT, but must be able to do a manual set of books.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing payroll accounting transactions and payroll returns.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English.
Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
Some additional duties for this Accounting Assistant Assisting with, would be filing tax reports, job costing and
completing schedule of value forms.
ONCE AGAIN PLEASE- Prior experience in Construction Bookkeeping Required & Business Management preferred. Bookkeeper candidates who have excellent attention to detail and advance Microsoft Excel skills will be considered. Solid communication skills and 2+ years experience is required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related field) preferred, not required
Construction Bookkeeping is experience required
Must be proficient QuickBooks- Required
