Staff Accountant Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - GENERAL PURPOSE:
To support the Finance Director and Controller in carrying out Finance and Accounting responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Support reconciliations: Loan Fund ? Loan tracking software & GL accounting system ? Banking.
Processing A/P.
Review and update Notes Payable, Fund Summaries and Schedules.
Update portfolio reports monthly and quarterly.
Assist with 403(b) and other HR systems.
Support loan documentation, payment processing, disbursements.
Assist with annual external audit. Complete requested materials. Assist in preparing assigned schedules for the annual and interim audits.
Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor?s degree in accounting, or Bachelor?s degree in business with emphasis in accounting, from an accredited college or university.
3-5 years? experience in accounting is required.
Must be highly skilled in Excel Spreadsheets and in dealing with financial and numeric data.
Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
PREFERRED:
CPA
Familiarity with nonprofit accounting
Experience with GL accounting system
Experience with loan portfolio accounting

Salary: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 /year
