Tax Preparer Job Opening in Colorado Springs, Colorado - Seasonal part-time to full year full time positions available
Duncan & Associates, an established tax and accounting firm in Colorado Springs will hire several experienced personal income tax preparers for the 2018 tax season. This is a consistent seasonal position from January 2018 through April 2018 (30-40 hours/week) and onward and may evolve to year around positions with flexible full or part time hours between 8 am and 5 pm. We are located in South Central Colorado Springs.
Position Description: Under the supervision of the Owner and in accordance with established policies and procedures, this person will perform a variety of services related to income tax preparation. This will primarily include data entry and follow up for documents with clients. Preparers must comply with all tax laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the complete and accurate preparation and timely filing of individual and business income tax returns and related documents.
Familiarity with Dave Ramsey Financial Methodologies is helpful; you will be required to adhere to them when speaking with clients.
This position will require additional administrative duties as needed to support the team effort in the office.
Qualifications:
Outstanding ethics a must and should be verifiable through testing and references.
A minimum of one year tax preparation with a professional tax firm or currently enrolled in accounting degree program is desired.
Current tax preparers must have PTIN and be in compliance with CE and Cir. 230.
Preparer must also have a AFTR Certificate of Completion.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
Previous experience in tax preparation required.
