Reports to: Finance Manager
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger accounting. Candidate will possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, a strong ability to set priorities and collaborate with others to drive improvements.
Accounts Receivable
Invoice customer shipments daily and resolve discrepancies by working across various departments
Work across cross functional teams streamline invoicing process to increase efficiency and accuracy
Oversee the collection of customer receivables in a timely and efficient manner that supports the company's customer focus * Proactively resolve payment issues and delays by working with various internal and external partners * Oversee and support in reconciling various payment means on a daily and weekly basis to ensure all funds are collected and recorded accurately
Oversee and support credit memo process
Accounts Payable
Process various payments including weekly check runs following company approval processes and procedures
Optimize payment schedules to meet the needs of internal and external partners, including monitoring and contributing to a positive company credit score, improved cash flow and strong vendor relationships
Work with departmental managers to ensure POs are entered and processed correctly
General Ledger
Reconcile multiple accounts monthly
Support month-end reporting
Assist with providing financial data, research and resolve discrepancies
Human Resources
Assist with various HR responsibilities including new hire paperwork, payroll and benefits administration as needed
Skills :
Organized and efficient
Excellent customer service skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related business field is preferred, a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role and competency in MS Excel. In addition, the candidate should be highly motivated, show initiative, and be a team player.
