Operations Financial Manager Job Opening in Nampa, Idaho - SUMMARY:
The Operations Finance Manager is a key finance representative at the plant. They are responsible for the day-to-day financial activities at the plant, and assisting the Director of Finance with plant performance analyses, variance and enabler forecasts, and annual operating budget.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete energy report for fuel, electricity, and water monthly.
Complete cost analysis on inventory warehousing monthly.
Reconcile cost report labor and energy to the general ledger monthly.
Good understanding of flow and financial impact/posting.
Prepare journal entries during month-end close.
Prepare departmental variance analysis
Perform Ad-hoc analysis as requested
Perform inventory analysis of raw, ingredient, packaging weekly
Assist with identifying cost savings opportunities at the plant.
Assist with developing the annual operating budget and forecasting
Other projects/duties as assigned or needed.
Tracking of operational performances and accuracies
Implement/execute accounting policies and procedures surrounding internal controls for operations; including timely closing of capitals, asset write-offs and project post mortems
Perform line capacity and restriction analysis; analyze recommended modes and methods to reduce or eliminate restrictions; provide recommendations as appropriate.
Audit production issues and coordinate any corrections needed (training) through appropriate shop floor personnel.
Support margin analysis and pricing recommendations

B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance, with Operations Management or significant relevant work experience
3-5 years of manufacturing company experience, consumer products or food experience a definite plus
Solid applied understanding of cost management and accounting systems
Strong technical, analytical and systems skills (ERP, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Strong organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Must be able to investigate complex issues and to conduct root cause analysis to resolve problems
Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Must be self-motivated, independent thinker, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, project a professional image and interact effectively with all levels and functions within the organization Certification or Licenses
