Clinical Systems Analyst Job Opening in Nashville, Tennessee - SUMMARY: This position works collaboratively with providers and staff to train, support and optimize clinical workflows for efficiency and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Director of Information Services, this position serves as a subject matter expert of Allscripts Pro - EHR application and other clinical products - features, functionality and utilization, and works as part of the EHR team to meet established project performance / functionality objectives. In addition, this person works collaboratively with various HMA providers, leaders and staff to address issues, improve processes, recommend enhancements, maintain open lines of communication, and grow and further develop a working culture consistent with HMA's mission, vision and values and commitment to high standards of ethical and business conduct and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and third party payer requirements.
*This is an hourly position. Will consider Medical Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, or Registered Nurses with extensive Allscripts background*.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following: Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet organizational needs.
Conducts the Allscripts Pro - EHR application training and go-live support for new HMA providers in addition to serving as a resource to existing HMA providers needing review/refresher training
Provides primary second level support for assigned and backup second level support for other HMA as needed.
Serves as the "go to" subject matter expert to resolve issues with Allscripts Pro ? EHR application and other clinical applications ? requires timely and succinct communication with end users and, if applicable, vendors, should the issue warrant
Conducts system audits to verify workflow compliance as warranted and tracks, monitors, and reports information related to systems utilization
Performs system setup changes as directed by Director of IS
Works with the EHR team (beginning through testing and final implementation) to develop/customize and/or to maintain updated documentation regarding EHR and other clinical applications
Ensures systems security/compliance and patient confidentiality
Informs Director of IS of issues requiring escalation and vendor involvement
Attends and actively participates in physician in-service, EHR core team, and department meetings and conducts presentations as needed
Serves in an "on-call" capacity to ensure uninterrupted support services
Qualifications:
Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Information Systems or related field of study or a minimum of 5 years direct work experience utilizing clinical systems workflows, system analysis and documentation preferably in a healthcare setting
Previous experience as an electronic health record (EHR) super user or trainer is preferred
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of clinical and system implementations
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills including the ability to train others
General understanding of the overall operations of a medical practice organization
Multitask/project manage in a fast-paced changing environment ? i.e. time/change management, priorities, ambiguity, adaptable and flexible)
Ability to effectively interface and build professional working relationships with all levels of employees ? staff, senior leaders, and providers
Customer focused ? professional demeanor, positive attitude, service oriented
Desire to grow and further develop skill set
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to stand/walk up to eight hours/day; stoop, bend, twist and lift greater than 25 lbs. and push/pull up to 150 lbs. and clearly articulate/listen and communicate
Visual acuity ? close, distance, color, peripheral, depth
Frequent typing, computer work and filing required
Office environment ? limited exposure to communicable diseases and no exposure to blood-borne pathogens or contaminated body fluids

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 4:00PM or 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Must be available during regular business hours.
