Candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements with disclosures, applying basic areas of GAAP as necessary and documenting, validating, testing and assessing various control systems. This position may also be involved in reviews and agreed-upon procedure engagements. Seeking an individual with two to three years of audit or financial reporting experience. Ideal candidate will be working towards becoming a CPA.
Duties:
· Work closely with Staff and Managers to identify and resolve issues encountered in performance of audits through effective and timely communication
· Develop effective and clear work paper techniques
· Ability to understand concepts related to identifying and assessing audit risks
· Drafting financial statements with disclosures
· Researching intermediate areas of accounting
· Understand the rules, regulations and code of professional conduct of the AICPA
· Ability to manage multiple assignments to established deadlines
