SUMMARY : Assists with the development of Electronic Health Record (EHR) software application requirements while coordinating the implementation of various health informatics modules at HDC. Assess training needs; assist in developing training materials and present training in multiple formats including one-on-one, classroom, online or vendor driven. Maintain system administration and operational support, oversee problem resolution as it relates to the EMR product, and work with staff to gain efficiencies through improved workflows and training.
DUTIES: Oversee the EHR & Credentialing support staff and assign responsibilities to achieve the initiatives of the EHR project; Assists in planning, implementing and communicating the installation of upgrades, and development projects; Participates in EHR design and build sessions, tests the application, and documents the findings; maintains the EHR issues database/helpdesk; Serves as liaison between departments and software vendor for specific applications; Assist in conducting user workflow analysis to determine possible improvements in the use of existing software systems, or possible additions/changes to the systems; Develops and delivers training documentation, including system hierarchy, functional system responsibilities; Assesses end-user training/retraining needs and resources; trains employees in the use of the EHR; Develop ad-hoc reports (on-demand) using the prescribed reporting software; develops job function tools and documentation; Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mission critical system's functionality and utilization improvement; Communicating all EHR changes and updates when necessary; Performs special projects; Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Five years' experience in Healthcare Information or equivalent
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office, software and hardware support with troubleshooting skills and diagnostic abilities; A strong customer focus and constant drive to improve the support experience of the employees; Initiative and problem-solving skills; A willingness to learn new skills; Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously; Good verbal and written communications skills; Must work in a team environment.
