Quality Improvement Coordinator/Staff Development Nurse Job Opening in Coventry, Rhode island - Riverview Healthcare Community is a 190 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. At Riverview we offer licensed subacute and secure Alzheimer?s care as well as long-term care for those in need of assistance with chronic illness or multiple activities of daily living. Currently our community is searching for a Quality Improvement and Staff Development Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinating monthly QI meetings
Quarterly QI reports including data analysis
Gathering data from all SL for various QI projects
maintaining data excel files to use in analysis of data * Facilitate Fall Committee
Monitoring falls ensuring events completed, CP have been updated, and tracking data (see monthly summary report sheet)
Running bi-monthly fall committee meetings, including taking minutes
Working with SPH Coordinator as required for fall prevention and/or resident assessments * Organize records including:
QI sign-in sheets and minutes
Education records for nursing dept and all staff edu
policy and procedure books
education forms
electronic resources for nursing staff
committee meetings
Education tracker * Coordinate and communicate staff education
internal education
external education
specialized education needs for individuals * Monthly staff development calendars
Annual education and quality improvement plans
Assist in annual reviews - i.e. attendance at educational events
New hire processes/education
Ensuring competencies are completed within regulation including:
annual feeding assistance
quarterly CMT * Ensuring compliance with all staff annual education
annual all staff fair, nurse fair, and CNA fair
On on-call rotation with other nursing leaders
Assisting DON with reportable incidences are required
Assisting nursing senior leaders with daily duties as required
CPR required
3-5 year QI experience and LTC experience needed
