Medical Assistant Job Opening in East Providence, Rhode island - Care Resource is a locally owned and operated Medicare Certified Home Health Agency founded in 2008 by a team of experienced clinicians and healthcare industry leaders. We are seeking an experienced individual with knowledge in the medical filed to join our team at the East Providence, RI.
This is a full time, 40 hour a week position Monday ? Friday 8:30 ? 5:00
Responsibilities:
Previous experience in home healthcare and medical specialty is required.
Familiarity with medical billing procedures, authorization of services.
Knowledgeable of medical terminology and medical records.
Scanning and indexing documents.
Responsible for sending, receiving, and tracking MD orders
Uses communication skills with appropriate medical terminology.
Excellent computer skills and phone manners.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or some college preferred.
1-2 years? experience as a medical assistant is a plus.
Medical assistant certification (if applicable)
