Accounts Payable Clerk Job Opening in Sterling, Virginia - We are looking for a reliable and detail oriented professional to join our fast paced growing company, with a focus on accounts payable. The primary purpose of this position is to support the overall Finance department by performing invoice processing, from invoice receipt to payment, in an accurate and timely manner, maintaining vendor communications regarding invoicing and payments, and providing communication and coordination with internal personnel.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review all vendor invoices for accuracy and obtain sign-off from GM?s
Maintain a weekly AP register
Enter all invoices into the accounting system
Process weekly AP runs and post appropriate supporting documentation
Pay sales and admission tax per the schedule
Assist the Finance team in managing vendor relationships and agreements
Manage new vendor set-ups
Collect vendor W-9?s prior to payment
Assist in processing annual 1099 forms
Audit receipts and post monthly purchase card statements to appropriate GL codes
Expectations:
1-2 years of AP experience
BS degree in accounting, business or similar
Microsoft proficient (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong work ethic
Detailed and accurate
Strong organizational and time management skills
Consistently meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
Ability to maintain confidential information

Fulltime (30 hrs. or more per week) ? this position will be located at our Sterling, VA headquarters
Pay - $15-$20/hr. (DOE) plus medical, dental, vision and paid-time off benefits
