Billing Specialist/Staff Accountant Job Opening in Ashburn, Virginia - Our Savior's Way Lutheran Church and Open Arms Christian Child Development Center is looking for a well qualified candidate for our billing position.
Summary / Purpose:
To assist accounting department with weekly tuition billing, bi-weekly payroll, employee credit card/expense statements, preparing journal entries, preparing account reconciliations and other detailed financial reports as deemed necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Weekly tuition billing, enter weekly payments (EFT, Checks, Cash) into billing software, track account balances and collections, reconcile monthly reports and answer billing questions.
Collect payroll data bi-weekly and enter into ADP for processing.
Process credit card statements and prepaid purchase card statements, match receipts to payments, prepare journal entry to record into ACS.
Run weekly offering reports, reconcile payments, update reports and then create journal entry to record into accounting system.
Monitor, track and reconcile special funds to make sure payments are disbursed timely.
Enter new user information and changes into system for donation EFTs, run reports as needed and offer assistance to members with regards to account balances.
File management and record retention.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in accounting OR equivalent external work experience OR equivalent formal training in related duties. High attention to detail and ability to analyze data. Proficiency in understanding and use of personal computers, accounting software, 10-key, excel spreadsheets, word processing, and electronic communications.
