Senior Sales Manager Job Opening in Waterloo, Iowa - Leslie Hospitality, a premier hospitality company responsible for performance in an eclectic group of branded and independent hotels throughout the United States, is seeking a proven Senior Sales Manager for one of our Midwest Hotel & Convention Center projects.
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for growing overall revenue and profitability, while maximizing customer satisfaction from pre-event planning through post-event phases of service. Solicit new and repeat business through a proactive sales approach that incorporates consultative selling skills. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key hotel personnel to enhance the overall business relationship with hotel.
The successful candidate will:
Solicit and secure business for hotel through a proactive, consultative sales approach and utilize Hotel?s sales process
Proactive outside sales effort for the Tour, Travel & Association Markets
Complete RFPs
Utilize an understanding of costs associated with sales, including labor, commission and equipment outsourcing (i.e. audio, visual, lighting, etc) and work within established profitability guidelines
Utilize current software systems, heavy Opera and Delphi knowledge, marketing tools and standard documents
Implement and update hotel marketing tools as needed
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key hotel personnel and meet client needs through attending client meetings, creating and maintaining organized show files and responding to client concerns, questions and problems
Assist with reporting as necessary on a weekly/monthly basis
Provide operational support during shows, driving sales programs with team members and conduct training as needed
50% Travel including overnight and trade shows

Prior hotel sales experience required
Knowledge of Opera and Delphi
Strong Association Experience preferred
Complete required Sales Reports
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel
Valid Driver?s License required
Basic computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
All other duties as assigned
