Sr. QA Engineer Job Opening in Rocky Hill, Connecticut - Position: Sr. QA Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:
A Quality Engineering Analyst is needed to work a new and existing Prospective Payment System.
This role spans a broad range of testing activities including analyzing scope and requirements to determine testing needs, designing test cases and data, executing testing, and managing defect resolutions.
The candidate filling this role will be expected to work with the software architects, engineering leaders and other members of the software engineering team to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of product testing in order to deliver high-quality products and solutions for our customers.
Quality Engineers are charged with delivering strong automation solutions which leverage world class testing practices, object oriented programming, continuous delivery and integration, and other software engineering best practices to deliver highly reusable, low maintenance tests and test frameworks.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or HS diploma/GED with 5+ years? work experience
4+ years of experience as Quality Assurance Engineer
3+ years of release management / regression testing experience
3+ years experience with automated testing tools and automation scripting
3+ years experience with SQL Query and Schema
2 + years experience with SoapUI, LoadRunner or other automated testing tools
2 + years experience with automating API & interface testing
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
2 + years experience with Visual Studio, C, C# and/or COBOL
Should have expertise in the software testing and development life cycle
Unit, smoke and regression testing
Experience working in Agile Scrum development environment
Working knowledge of HP ALM and Rally tools
Knowledge of writing and executing SQL queries to support validation of test results and creation /management of test data
Comfortable working with MS Excel and flat text() files
Should be able to coordinate efficiently with the offshore team members
Ability to maintain a good relationship with the peers and clients
ISTQB certification level will be an added advantage
