Management Consultant (Technology Practice) Job Opening in Berlin, Connecticut - About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced, high-energy, motivated individual to add to technology consulting practice. As a management consultant, you will work with C-Level executives to analyze their businesses, provide meaningful recommendations and oversee technology implementation initiatives. To the extent that the solution has custom software development components, you will also be our clients? point of contact and project during the development process, interacting with the software development team, delivering status updates, generating production reports and supporting the client solution after delivery. Additionally, you will be responsible for working closely with our clients to build long-term client relationships. Most importantly, you will help us design and grow our organization and the quality of our consulting services. This is a full-time opportunity based in our Corporate office located in Connecticut.
Responsibilities:
Consulting and interacting with people at all levels of client organizations, including senior-level executives
Overseeing multiple client engagements simultaneously
Assessing client needs, writing proposals, determining project plans, managing client expectations and developing client solutions
Acting as project manager for our analytics and technology solutions including custom software applications
Delivering presentations, facilitating groups and providing training on various topics
Ensuring superior customer service through follow-up, client responsiveness, and customer-focused communication
Driving thought leadership internally and externally through the development of new programs, processes, consulting models, speaking engagements and written publications
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
MBA from an accredited top-tier college or university required
3-5 years of experience as a management consultant or related position
Strong consultative skills
Experience and comfort with technology
Familiarity with technology and software application development processes including agile software development lifecycle
Strong public speaking and presentation skills, including the ability to gain and retain the attention and involvement of sophisticated and challenging audiences
Proven ability to sell, manage and grow client accounts
Proven leadership skills and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment
Demonstrated project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and skills
Demonstrated maturity, integrity and the ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment, both individually and as a team player
Experience and contacts in any specific industry (insurance, construction, biotech, government, etc.) is considered a strong plus
An interest in solving puzzles to help uncover ?why? and ?how? an issue occurs within one of our custom developed software applications and assist the team with providing a solution that provides a ?fix? for the client.
Confidence to provide advice to large enterprise clients and non-technical users on how to use technology-based systems
Passion for technology and interest/ability to learn new technologies
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Strong business process analysis and documentation skills; able to articulate business and technical requirements to development teams and business users.
