The Role
The Software Developer/Analyst will analyze, develop, maintain, and enhance applications, modules, and database interfaces using Microsoft C# and Microsoft SQL Server. This role includes rapidly becoming proficient in existing modules and applications, analyzing and designing enhancements, developing new modules, and maintaining existing systems. Ideal candidates are strong problem-solvers with a track record of delivering quality technical solutions.
Responsibilities
Rapidly assimilate and achieve proficiency with existing C# modules and applications
Analyze and design enhancements or changes to existing applications and systems
Develop and test new modules, applications, interfaces, or reports
Develop and test SQL Server database queries, extracts, and interfaces
Support mobile app development activities
Resolve defects on a timely basis with thorough impact assessment and risk mitigation
Maintain the highest standards in software quality and testing effectiveness
Actively identify improvement opportunities or recommendations for reducing risk
Work independently with minimal direction, but focused passion
Collaborate effectively with other software development and technical team members
Qualifications
3 years of Microsoft C# development experience
3 years of MS SQL Server experience, including writing T-SQL / Stored Procedures.
3 years of Web-based experience in MVC4 or MVC5, and fluent in modern JavaScript frameworks, including Angular and jQuery
Strong experience with LINQ and Entity Framework, and Framework 4.x
Experience building or supporting cross-platform mobile applications using Xamarin is a plus.
Understanding mobile development design patterns, including cloud back-end services such as Azure Notification Hubs is a plus.
Experience with using front-end Web UX suites. Bootstrap, Telerik and Kendo UI is a plus.
Experience with SSIS, SSDT, and performance tuning MS SQL Server databases is a plus.
Experience with Unit Testing frameworks such as xUnit, and Web Automation frameworks such as Selenium is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Visual FoxPro experience is a plus, Version 5 or higher
Experience with large, fragmented data sets is a plus (10,000 - 500,000 records)
Experience with XML, external interfaces, and high-volume mobile messages is a plus
