Summary
Consultitude is currently seeking an International Sales Assistant to join one of its client?s highly-visible sales teams in Columbia, MD. The International Sales Assistant will interact with international customers to complete sales transactions, purchase order confirmations, check product availability, work with production and logistics department, review export documentation, and follow up with payments.
International travel is a requirement. The successful candidate will possess extensive expert knowledge of the export and import business.
Qualifications
Knowledge of international trade, incoterm, payment mechanisms, duties/tariffs, customs clearing, insurance, transportation regulations.
Three (3) or more years? experience in the export/import business ? preferably agriculture.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral) including strong interpersonal and facilitation skills to deal effectively and tactfully with people at all levels of management, with the ability to secure action from staff and management in a matrix organization
Strong results orientation with the ability to think strategically while paying close attention to details
Strong track record of consistently meeting milestones and commitments
Proficient in Spanish
