Corporate Compliance Lead Job Opening in South Portland, Maine - Position Summary
The Compliance Lead is responsible to support and maintain the Citra Compliance Program including leading all associated committee and subcommittee activity. This role is expected to continuously monitor laws, regulations and contractual requirements to ensure operational compliance. Responsibilities include creating, updating and maintaining standard policies and procedures to support compliance. The Compliance Lead develops and maintains reports and tools that enable verification, that company policies and procedures are being followed, risk mitigation plans are robust. The Compliance Lead reports results of activity through committees and directly to the senior management team who are responsible to implement necessary actions to ensure an effective compliance program.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Manages day-to-day activities related to operational compliance
Leads and facilitates committee meetings ensuring appropriate content, minute keeping and follow up activities
Assists with creating and revising the Corporate Compliance Program Description and Work Plan annually and as needed
Establishes, updates, maintains standard policies and procedures to support operational compliance and associated tracking
Maintains an accurate credentialing log and ensures primary source verification
Collects, documents and responds to operational audits
Develops, maintains reports and assessment tools to verify compliance appropriate compliance activity is occurring and reported
Ensures required reporting is completed in a timely manner internally and externally to reporting agencies
Monitors laws and regulations impacting operations to ensure compliance
Periodically reviews and updates Standards of Conduct to ensure continuing relevance
Collaborates with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution
Consult as needed with the Corporate attorney to resolve difficult legal compliance issues.
Works with the Human Resources Department and training to ensure compliance training is completed and tracked
Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct in a timely and appropriate manner
Routinely assesses organizational risk to proactively assess and identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability; develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues
Manages reported issues via the compliance Hotline.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent experience required such as paralegal
A minimum of 5 years? experience in a regulatory or compliance role
3 years? experience in healthcare or call center operations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Analytical with exceptional problem- solving skills
