Senior Accountant Job Opening in Schaumburg, Illinois - My client located in Schaumburg, IL looking for a talented Senior Accountant to join their team. The individual should be self-motivated, able to learn fast and apply learned the skill set, have great verbal and written communication skills, able to work alone and with a team when need be.
Job Description
Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
Assist with completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings; preparation of assigned Quarterly and Annual Statutory Statement pages/schedules.
Assist with annual external audit and DOI examination. Complete requested materials
Assist in preparing assigned schedules for the annual and interim audit
Assist with testing and receive final approval for system reports required for management, financial reporting and general ledger reconciliations.
Ideal Candidate
Have 2-5 years experience with an IT company OR within the professional services industry.
Have either SAP/ Quickbooks AND advanced Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, formulas)
BA in Accounting or Finance
CPA a plus but not necessary
