Tax Preparer / Accountant Job Opening in Loves Park, Illinois - Position Expectations:
Enrolled Agent (EA) with a minimum of 5 yrs TAX preparation experience or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a minimum of 5 yrs TAX preparation experience
Tax Preparation Needs: (Priority)
Ability to meet with and interview tax client to gather necessary information
Proficient in Individual Income Tax Preparation (Schedules A, D, C, E, AMT, Form 2106 & Depreciation)
Dependable, able to work independently, & communicate well with clients in person (secondary via telephone & email)
Process & finalize tax return; including signing off as preparer
* PTIN required and current certification EA or CPA
Provide tax consulting with clients for current & future tax strategies
Proficient in Corporate Tax Preparation (highly emphasis in 1120S preparation)
Require the ability to research tax law; research tools provided in office
Correspond with IRS, IDOR and IDES with Power of Attorney to resolve tax notices received and/or tax cases
Familiar with Drake Tax Software (Preferred)
Accounting Needs: (Optimal)
Process Accounting Financial Statements and sign off as "Compilations Reports" for Profit & Loss Statements & Balance Sheets
Data Entry of accounting records:
- Bank & credit card reconciliation
- Payroll reporting; QuickBooks payroll software proficiency
- Insurance audits
- Cash Flows
- Projections
- Sales Tax Completion
Meet with clients in person & provide financial consulting to our business accounting clients needs
Familiar with QuickBooks accounting software (Preferred)
****We are seeking an individual who is very strong in tax preparation. The tax preparer position would work from January ? May. If the individual performs the tax and accounting experience listed above, the position could be a full-time position and work all year.****
