Position Summary : General Accountant duties include part or all of the following general accounting functions: AP, AR, Payroll, Invoicing, Cash Application, GL entry, Reconciliations, assisting with end of month closing procedures, vendor profile setup, account maintenance, and vendor relations, customer profile setup, account maintenance, ad hoc reporting and customer relations. Accountant is to provide assistance to the CFO as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Ability to do all aspects of Accounts Receivable in Accounting Software from creating an invoice to cash collections and cash application.
Assist with new employee onboarding and direct employees to the correct websites, phone numbers, and people for all questions about benefits, payroll, and other human resource issues.
Process payroll
Ability to do all aspects of Accounts Payable in Accounting Software from invoice entry to check generation.
Ability to create new vendor profiles, follow company procedures and establish credit limits with company?s vendors, update and maintain vendor profiles within Accounting Software.
Monitor and maintain all vendor records such as W9, Sales Tax Exemption Certificates, and Insurance Certificates.
Ability to create new customer profiles, follow company procedures and establish credit limits for customers, update and maintain vendor profiles within Accounting Software.
Monitor and maintain all general customer records such as W9, Insurance Certificates, and contracts and Terms & Conditions.
Complete month-end tasks including: bank reconciliations, updating prepaid accounts, employee and owner receivables reconciliation, manage credit cards and make payments, complete COGS entries and accruals.
Manage utility accounts and make changes as needed.
Process vendor 1099s and distribute by deadlines.
Request certificate of insurance that meet our clients? requirements.
Provide support and assistance to the CFO when needed.
Projects as assigned by the CFO, or management.
:
Bachelor?s Degree with emphasis in accounting or related. Or Associates Degree plus 3-4 years? experience or equivalent combination.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook, and modular accounting application required.

Strong communication and decision making skills
Strong invoice and account maintenance experience
Team oriented: flexible, adaptable, and assists with others workloads when needed
Thrives in a face paced environment
Ability to document a high level of detail
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $55,000.00 /year
