Direct Sales Representative Job Opening in Cleveland, Ohio - Paragon Foods, located in Warrendale, PA, is the premier distributor of fresh and specialty foods to the restaurant and foodservice industry in Western Pennsylvania. In addition to fresh produce, Paragon provides premium quality dairy, fresh meats, seafood and epicurean products to restaurants, hospitals, universities and K-12 schools, clubs and corporate dining clients throughout Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio and Northern West Virginia.
This position will be based in Northeast Ohio, serving a territory from approximately Elyria (W) to PA (E) to Canton (S). The ideal candidate will be based somewhere that provides easy access to this entire territory. Occasional travel to Paragon?s Warrendale location will be required.
The Direct Sales Representative (DSR) position is responsible for selling fresh and specialty food products to food service establishments. DSRs are responsible for maintaining existing business relationships and securing new customers. The majority of each day is spent in an assigned territory seeking out new business opportunities or meeting with current customers to make certain their expectations are being met/exceeded.
Minimum Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, OR 4 years professional experience in outside sales, customer service, or chef level food service, OR Education such as an Associate's Degree or culinary training plus professional experience in outside sales, customer service, or chef-level food service totaling 4 years.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Proficient with MS Office products, particularly Outlook and Excel.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and required insurance.
Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check.
