Werner Electric Supply is currently in need of a Sales Assistant to join our team.
Summary
In this role, you?ll assist the Territory Sales Manager, Territory Customer Service Manager, and Regional Warehouse Manager with an array of support responsibilities.
You?ll have the opportunity to support most of our business functions depending on where you?re needed most! This an excellent opportunity to learn most aspects of our business while expanding your skill-set; equipping you with the skills necessary to advance and grow here at Werner!
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong attention-to-detail and sense-of-urgency
Ability to work independently to manage workload
Excellent documentation, organizational skills, and customer service skills
1+ years of customers facing experience
High School Diploma (2-4 year degree is strongly preferred)
Ability to learn quickly with the capacity to handle multiple responsibilities for different business functions
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Valid Driver?s License
Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Cross-train for customer service order entry, warehouse return-good processing, and small deliveries direct to customer sites.
Support Sales, Customer Service, and Warehouse teams
Maintain branch tidiness, sales literature, office/branch supplies, and petty cash.
Coordinate event planning and catering for customer and corporate events.
Build and maintain customer relationships, process customer, and generate bids/orders.
Assist Customer Service with order expediting
Sell product to walk-in customers
Count and record cash drawer proceeds and take deposits to bank as necessary.
Maintain customer courtesy items: soda machines, popcorn machines, etc.
Replenish inventory to shelves to maintain orderliness and accuracy and assist in quarterly inventory counting.
