Our Seattle client has an immediate need for an experienced Identity Management Engineer to do the following: Help implement workflow and driver requirements for Novell Identity Manager. Help support daily support requests for Identity Manager and assist with transitioning more support tasks to the SOC. This will require designing simply workflows for the SOC to utilize. Work with our client's internal customers to identify new role and automation opportunities for implementation in Novell IdM. Document troubleshooting steps and create knowledgebase articles for Novell Identity Manager. POSITION SUMMARY Primary function will be sustained engineering, maintenance, and operations of Novell Identity Manager Application and related services. This role will help translate new and existing business requirements into detailed technical designs for identity provisioning. In addition, this role will assist in the daily operational support requests related to the Novell Identity Manager platform. This individual will work with our client's Information Security Architecture and Operations team to maintain and improve upon the existing identity management solution using Novell Identity Manager. This assignment is both technical and one that requires a great deal of communication with users and technical resources at all levels. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Identity Management Systems Engineering: Create workflows (Provisioning Request Definitions) for common identity- and account-related request, approval and provisioning tasks. Work closely with the Service Operations Center to translate manual processes into automated request and provisioning solutions (PRDs and driver policies). Work with application developers, database administrators and systems engineers to design, test, and implement integrations with Identity Manager. Assist with defining and managing operational processes to support the lifecycle of the identity management solution(s) (review/tracking of defects, scheduling of maintenance releases, of documentation, etc.) Create documentation and knowledge base resources for design and use of identity management application(s). Assist with upgrade planning for the identity management application. Communicate resource and schedule estimates to stakeholders (updates/changes, enhancements, etc.) Identity Management Operations: Work in the service desk application and with the Service Operations Center to handle Tier 2 troubleshooting of identity-related requests. Work directly with end-users, as needed, to identify and resolve identity-related problems and requests. Work with the data center services team and other application or database support groups to manage incidents, requests, and problems related to identity management and provisioning. Execute changes to the identity system across the dev and QA environments. Prepare changes for release to production. QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION College or University degree required. Excellent listening and technical writing skills. Significant experience writing documentation for Tier 1 support to bring delivered products into steady-state. Exceptional organizational skills (attention to detail while not losing site of the big picture), with the ability to interface professionally with all aspects of Technology Shared Services Technology, including upper management. Expert knowledge of the identity management problem space. Proven experience working on Identity Management projects involving 5000 or more users. Experience and understanding of role-based provisioning, entitlement management, automated compliance attestations, and related concepts. Team player, exhibiting common sense, logical and analytical reasoning skills. Position requires ability to understand quality assurance concepts. Must be thorough, methodical and detail oriented. Must be able to work overtime or when required, and potentially work during off hours to support planned releases. Comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic environment. SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED Expert user Novell Identity Manager and related drivers (Active Directory, JDBC, CSV, SOAP, Loopback, IDProvider). Expert user with Novell eDirectory. Experience with Linux operating systems. Must have experience with Java, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, XPath 2.0. Must have experience working with a variety of RDBMS and related concepts (Oracle, MS SQL, JDBC connections, etc.) Must have experience working with SOAP and REST-based web services. Familiar with defect tracking software and general IT service management workflow systems (ServiceDesk, etc).
