Logistics Order Desk Customer Service Job Opening in Lenexa, Kansas - SUMMARY
Accurately schedule the transportation of products between locations based on customers? needs. Prepare sales orders, transfers, returns, and manifests; verify and arrange loads to meet weight limitations, contract outside carriers as needed. Interface with accounting department, branches and co-workers. Perform route determinations, verification of drivers log maintenance, hours of service, review drivers paperwork for accuracy and completion, and
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Provide and encourage outstanding customer service
Answer incoming calls on a multi-line system in a professional and courteous manner
Respond to customers via telephone or email through personal computer
Receive customers? requests by telephone and email, analyze requests, provide information requested, or ascertain who can best provide the information, and route the request to the proper person
Provide pricing information,processesorders, and similar data due tocustomer, as required
Follow up with customers to assess level of customer service
ORDER PROCESSING
Enter sales orders received by phone, email, and walk-in customers and enterintodatabase
Email sales order confirmations
Process payments, track credit card and check payments
Print appropriate paperwork for warehouse to process orders
Ensure 100% accuracy of all orders entered
Resolve customer questions related to orders or inventory
Contact customers to ascertain data omitted on orders
Analyze transactions, correct and adjust orders
Able to Add-on and upgrade sales
ADDITIONAL GOALS AND EXPECTATIONS
Must be prompt and timely in completing assigned responsibilities
Develop knowledge of product line, prices, delivery time, and similar data as required
Manage light administrative duties
Perform all aspects of the job within company policy and procedures
Perform back-up for showroom consultants
Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service or order desk
Ablilityto multi-task and problem-solve
Professional, punctual and dependable are very important
Outstanding person to person customer service skills as well as phone etiquette
Professional appearance, well-groomed, with pleasant attitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be proficient with all commonly used software, to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, as well as other internet related software
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
Dependable, with good continuous work history
Must be able to pass background and drug screen
