SSVF Quality Assurance Specialist Job Opening in Parsippany, New jersey - Coordinates quality improvement initiatives and ensures the integrity of the Agency?s services. Responsible for monitoring the quality and delivery of support services to the organization?s consumers and veterans. Assists in ensuring regulatory and accreditation compliance.
Assists in monitoring service delivery and compliance with all regulatory, contractual, agency and life safety standards.
Coordinates quality improvement initiatives, as directed.
Develop, implement and coordinate stakeholder feedback processes including veterans, community providers, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
Coordinates and distributes SSVF Exit Questionnaires.
Conducts regular quality assurance records reviews to ensure best practices and recordkeeping compliance.
Assists in the implementation and monitoring of business and quality assurance practices to ensure highest standards of care including SSVF Fidelity Standards.
Assists in CARF accreditation activities as directed.
Participates in the organization?s Quality Council Sub-Committees as assigned.
Provides feedback on services in order to assist in improving and enhancing programs.
Assists in veteran family education activities as necessary to improve delivery of services and successful veteran outcomes.
Ensures that all data collected is received and maintained in a confidential manner.
Maintains current and complete veteran, Agency and statistical reporting records.
Prepares required programmatic monthly, quarterly and annual reports for perspective and current funding sources.
Assists in the preparation of the Annual Outcomes Reports.
Maintains knowledge of required regulating standards, i.e., VA, State, County, CARF, etc.
Keeps abreast of current trends in the fields related to best practices that pertain to the populations served by Community Hope, Inc.
Provides employee training as necessary (i.e. New Employee Orientation).
Performs all other duties and responsibilities associated with position and as assigned by the VP of Compliance & Quality and/or Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications:
Masters degree from accredited college or university in non-profit and/or human services or a Bachelor?s degree in related field with a minimum of three years of quality assurance experience and knowledge of quality improvement processes in a human services or related setting.
Ability to participate as a team member and work independently, with limited supervision; willingness to take full responsibility of own work actions.
Strong verbal and written communications skills; customer service oriented, with ability to interact professionally with culturally and linguistically diverse staff and external stakeholders;
Ability to handle multiple tasks and demands, establish priorities and work effectively in a deadline driven environment; accuracy and attention to detail in the performance of duties is of critical importance;
Ability to deliver presentations and trainings to all levels of personnel associated with the Agency.
Demonstrable experience with training and/or providing formal guidance on contractual instruments and procedures;
Familiarity with NJ State and Federal funding agencies and regulations (NJDMHAS, NJDYFS, Veterans Administration, HUD, Medicaid, HIPPA, etc) preferred; Must have knowledge of quality improvement process. Strong writing and interpersonal skills required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word); database and electronic healthcare record experience a plus.
