Patient Services Representative - Pediatrics Job Opening in Westford, Massachusetts - Pediatrics West is currently hiring a full-time Patient Services Representative. This role serves as the first point of contact between our patients and the practice. Representatives handle incoming patient phone calls, schedule appointments, greet and check our patients in and out of appointments, and maintain patient records and accounts.
As part of the Pediatrics West team, Patient Services Representative provide high quality healthcare services to our patients. This role requires a focus on detailed tasks, excellent customer service skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to problem solve when dealing with difficult situations.
Pediatrics West has three locations: Westford, Groton, and Fitchburg. We provide services Monday ? Friday 7am ? 8pm, Saturdays 8-4, and Sundays 10-1. This position requires the flexibility to work varied shifts at all offices.

Essential Responsibilities:
Schedule appointments, collect demographic information, and verify insurance in the electronic health record and practice management system.
Collect insurance copayments, patient balances, and explain insurance benefits.
Communicate with patients through the patient portal and assist patients with accessing online appointments.
Maintain the presentation of the waiting areas.
