Description: The Enterprise Market Risk Technology (EMRT) department provides world class business solutions to support Corporate and LOB Market Risk teams. The EMRT group works with its business partners in identification, measurement, aggregation and reporting of Market Risk across the firm. The group works closely with the lines of business to ensure that risks are being appropriately managed within the defined risk appetite for the firm. Market risk activities include Market Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, Issuer Risk, Country Risk and Liquidity Risk. The Market Risk systems perform valuation, simulation, aggregation and reporting of risk metrics and models on all simple (bonds) and complex (structured products, derivatives) securities products. Team members will work with advanced mathematical models, theoretical pricing, statistical and stochastic models, VaR (Value at Risk), PFE (Potential Future Exposure), IMM (Internal Model Methodology), and stress. The Market Risk systems are comprised of intraday and overnight batch processes that handle staging for all trading position data and market data required for risk modeling as well as making this data available to the various risk valuation systems, quantitative models and reporting in support of trading activities as well as regulatory and business reporting requirements.
We are looking for an experienced BA to join our EMRT team. In this role, the BA will work collaboratively with the team of developers and QA. They will meet with business users to analyze highly complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. The team member will be expected to become the Subject Matter Expert in specific areas of EMRT systems and the specific risk area they support. The BA will create wireframes based on whiteboard design sessions. Organize and track multiple projects to ensure on-time delivery
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with project methodology for waterfall and/or agile (this team is Agile, at least 3 years of experience with Agile projects)
Some financial experience
Ability to meet with the business users, gather requirements, and write user stories
Ability to work in a face pace environment
Strong experience of technology software development lifecycles
Candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, strong judgment, and ability to work effectively with the client, IT management and staff, and other groups in Information Technology, including offshore resources
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel for data analysis
Ability to work independently
Perform testing activities
Troubleshooting
Write user manuals
Ability to manage multiple projects
Ability to organize and manage timeline of deliverables
A hands-on logical thinker, problem solver & team player
