IT Working Supervisor Job Opening in Louisville, Kentucky - Medium-sized business is looking for a skilled IT developer who will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the company's software platforms. The new member of our team will be assisting in the company's technology strategy development, in addition to maintaining the daily health of the server system, server builds, patch management, ensuring proper configuration and troubleshooting issues. Our business is looking for someone to come in and establish standards and best practices for the IT function. This person will also design and implement fulfillment software systems utilizing VB 6.0 and/or VB Script VB 6.0 and/or Visual Basic. Primary language is C Sharp. Other duties will include:
Provides end-user support for all LAN/WAN based applications.
Responsible for the installation and maintenance of system backups, migrations, restores and data replication processes.
Responsible for creation and maintenance of network documentation.
Supports security policies in the implementation, monitoring and auditing of IT services, applications and WAN/LAN infrastructure.
Identifying hardware and software lifecycles for the purposes of scheduling upgrades and technology replacements.
Develop, implement, and maintain a Disaster Recovery program involving multiple locations.
Establishes and maintains security protocol for internal and external IT systems.
Maintains all telephone systems and related maintenance contracts.
Works closely with all company personnel to support all IT needs and to develop data into usable formats.
Knowledge of ERP software system. (Data Based Programming with SQL or SQL 2000 data bases)
Supports company?s electronic data capture system.
Serves as a technical point of contact for vendor relationships.
Maintains and reports status of projects and assignments to management on a regular basis.
Job Requirements:
Associates Degree in Information Technology and 4 years of experience
Competent knowledge of Microsoft office products WORD, Excel, and Outlook.
Working knowledge of ERP manufacturing software
Strong understanding of network services including Active Directory, MS VPN, DNS and DHCP.
Strong understanding of MS Exchange environment.
