We are looking for a Regional Operations Manager (ROM) ? National Accounts in Louisville, KY.
Summary
The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) ? National Accounts provides operational, administrative, investigative, and project management support to the Regional Directors of Operations, primarily within a designated set of client sites or geographic area. Under the program direction of the Senior Director of Client Engagement, and the direct management of the designated Regional Director of Operations, the ROM provides support to client sites and personnel, performs auditing, direction and support of scheduling, recruiting, and other operational needs, and acts as a liaison with local LP and Site leadership, in their sites. Research, report writing, auditing, program reviews, and mentoring of site personnel are integral to success in this role.
Responsibilities and Role:
Responsible for overseeing and have the ability to support hiring, management and performance measurement of all listed job descriptions and operations within the designated region.
Will oversee and manage scheduling of staff within designated sites, to whatever extent is required for success.
This is a position that requires a 24x7 view of Contractor?s operations and Company?s needs in all assigned sites.
This person must employ effective strategic leadership skills supporting large scale guard force service and operations ensuring that it is customer focused, reliable, experiences minimal turnover, and achieves or surpasses agreed upon service level performance and process improvements.
Maintain regularly scheduled Service Level Agreement auditing at all designated sites, weekly reporting responsibilities, and regular interfacing with client and in-house leaders at each site.
Ability to travel as needed, meeting with frequency with the client site and regional teams as necessary.
The ROM supports the effort to efficiently and effectively provide guard services and asset protection (lives, buildings, equipment, data, & intellectual property). The ROM will ensure the effective use of resources (manpower, hardware, and software), metrics, and communication so that they provide Amazon leadership with a high level of confidence in, perceived value from, and support of Amazon.
The ROM supports portfolio growth efforts through driving operational excellence within each operating site, refining and improving the pre-launch phase of new sites, and maintaining and building upon the relationships with client representatives.
Enhance, track, and report on metrics which are key performance indicators, allowing performance improvements so that the desired outcomes are achieved to plan and in a timely manner.
Ensure that they and their team members understand, align performance and actions with and can clearly articulate the vision and values of the organization and their department.
Accomplish objectives by establishing action plans, timetables, and outcome measurements; obtaining and allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.
Maintain department results by assisting in the recruiting and selection of site personnel (Account Managers, Supervisor, Officers); coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Solidify existing relationships with client leadership by actively engaging in dialogue and by supporting key initiatives and activities.
Continually searches for ways to add value and to position the organization for future success.
Demonstrates resiliency and sound judgment in dealing with business and corporate challenges.
Builds trust and instills self-confidence through mutual respect and ongoing communication.
Ensure comprehension of current Emergency Response Plan at all sites.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
Results oriented leader that possesses strong influencing skill and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment.
Demonstrated track record in dealing with the effective communication of complex organizational and human resource issues.
Proven experience in creating and managing schedules for sites of 1000+ hours per week or multiple sites.
Both Supervisory and Management level experience required.
Proven track record of mentoring and developing employees.
Analytical leader experienced in performance based, action and results oriented management, strong project manager and effective problem-solver.
Experience in leading teams within work environments focused on high levels of customer service preferred.
Experience with warehouse or distribution center services preferred.
Capable of supporting a team responsible for delivering contract services that may include access control, alarm response, Lenel Alarm Monitoring, Remedy Ticket Program, Loss Prevention, growth of current facilities and construction of new facilities and Physical Security Assessments.
Capable of review and management of P&L statements related to sites under his/her leadership, working in conjunction with local branches and their leadership teams.
Proficient in primary Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and must have the ability to manage and direct completion of performance metrics in several areas.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills in English.
Deals effectively with ambiguity and learns from success and failure.
Travel up to 70%.
Must be able to work in an industrial environment that requires walking up to 5 miles a day.
Must be able to lift 20lbs.
