Bookkeeper/Accountant Job Opening in Austin, Texas - Job Description:
SALI Fund Services is a fast-growing financial services company looking to expand our accounting team. This position is a mid-level accounting role that supports our business growth and operations. This person will work closely with other members on the accounting team and support key internal and external business partners.
Responsibilities
Full monthly cycle of accounting duties for the Management Company, which includes:
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
G/L maintenance
Prepare month-end financial package for review by the Controller
Prepare other monthly reports including cash flow, forecast and budget vs actual
Monthly Close Process for Private Funds
Bank Reconciliations / Journal Entries
Calculating Fees / Revenue
Track reporting from lower tier partnership interests for annual audit and tax compliance process
Communicating information with various business partners
Participate in team projects, assignments and team responsibilities such as continual process improvement, strengthening of controls, peer analysis and team education sessions
Desired Skills and Experience:
Strong fundamental accounting skills with attention to detail required
Strong customer focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Must Work effectively in a team environment
Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and assignments and ability to meet deadlines
PC-related skills (QuickBooks, Excel, Word, Outlook or other software applications) a necessity
3-5 years G/L accounting and financial reporting experience
Bachelor's degree required (Accounting degree preferred)
Broad understanding of investments preferred but not required
