Client (located East of Seattle, WA) is a well established world recognized manufacturer and distributor of components used in high speed high precision applications. That being said, they have a critical need for an Inside Sales and Marketing Representative (Account Manager) with experience in the Motion control world to work in tandem with outside field representatives as well as in-house account managers. (Bearings, Gears, Drives, Motors, Actuators, Hydraulics, Pneumatics)
The position is responsible for responding to requests for quotation, technical support, marketing and sales for customers in an assigned territory that will ensure overall customer satisfaction.
THIS IS A CRITICAL HIRE, IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE IDENTIFIED, QUALIFIED, AND SELECTED BY END OF AUGUST 2017 .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Serves as the primary point of contact for the customer in order to engage the assigned customer to identify needs for and to promote COMPANYâ??s products, services, and capabilities.
Routinely identifies opportunities to market and promote COMPANY to customer as the distributor of choice in order to gain increased market share of available sales and revenue stream from the assigned customer.
Has daily telephone contact with customers to promote product offerings, services, and capabilities.
Responds to customer information requests.
Monitors and controls responses to customer requirements for initial contact to order fulfillment.
Provides timely and accurate pricing and quotes for product requests that are received on a daily basis. For monthly quotes, facilitates the process with the CAC, Field sales, and Product Team.
Regularly uses market expertise and experience to evaluate and analyze the product pricing and utilizes the Product Team to negotiate better pricing for the customer. Identify and communicate lead time and delivery based on product availability, and other researched impact factors.
Coordinates sales efforts with field sales, product team, and Management team.
Works with Field sales managers to ensure that customer contracts and agreements are executed and supported according to terms and conditions agreed upon.
Works with Contract administrators and Customer account coordinators to coordinate customersâ?? supply chain programs.
Participates in customer account planning and quarterly reviews that have the potential to drive additional sales and market share growth to meet budget expectations for their account.
Works as a team to coordinate service levels for the large, Long-term agreement customers.
Winning candidate will possess these QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma plus two to three years of sales experience; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Demonstrated ability to act independently or with minimal supervision.
Excellent customer service/relations skills and technology know-how.
Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to function successfully on a team.
Possess strong organizational skills.
Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Ability to work well in time-sensitive situations where customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal.
Demonstrated working knowledge of sales and quoting systems.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
