Director of Sales Job Opening in Denver, Colorado - We are looking for a highly motivated sales director to help us become the go-to solution for testing and quality control for Cannabis businesses. You will be responsible for building relationships and determining strategies that will help us meet our sales targets. All company resources are at your disposal to help you succeed. Key Responsibilities:
Creating awareness and demand for the company products and services
Identifying prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing customers, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences
Effectively communicating benefits and opportunities available to meet needs and interests
Calling on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information, providing demonstrations and quoting appropriate customer prices
Maintaining communications with internal personnel to ensure efforts are in line with objectives
Maintaining all quote documentation with accurate pricing and configurations
Establishing and managing distributor relationships
Monitoring market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales
Consulting with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
Preparing sales forecasts for region(s) and sectors;
Performing other duties as assigned
Skill & Qualifications
3 or more years sales experience
Detailed knowledge & experience with legal Cannabis market channels & manufacturers
Some familiarity with chemistry of Cannabis products and analytical tools and methods
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position them against competitors
Flexible, creative, and able to work in a non-structured developing work environment
BA/BS degree in a technical discipline preferred
Experience with analytical instrumentation is preferred
Western US or Southern CA location is preferred
