This position is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of portfolio reporting and analysis for all loans serviced across all platforms. Reporting and analysis will primarily focus on (but not limited to) regulatory compliance, legal support, unit cost modeling, repayment analysis, executive reporting. This position will also be called upon to complete ad-hoc analysis relating to the overall portfolios for Private and FFELP loans as well as the Dept. of Education servicing contract
In addition to the primary responsibilities listed above, will also analyze, design, validate, implement and support regulatory reporting at both Federal and State levels. Also responsible for providing analysis and data extractions as needed to support Legal in Class Action lawsuits and other legal matters. Can be responsbile for leading a team of analysts on a project basis.
Duties include:
1. Legal Support - Perform reporting and analysis requests from the regulators, courts and the Legal Team- Interpret and address Civil Investigative Demands (CID)- Advise on data segmentation to best support the Legal Team - Support the creation of the formal response to both regulatory and court requests- Develop and /or support the execution of any efforts related to results from- Recommend new reporting opportunities to improve operational insight into business activity
2. Business/Trend Analysis - Develop data analysis tools (charts, graphs, pivot tables, etc.) as appropriate to facilitate end user data analysis - Proactively review reports for trends in activity and agent performance and provide commentary to end users- Develop supplemental reporting as necessary to support research findings- Work with operations team to identify data analysis projects based on needs analysis and provide supporting reports and analysis
3. Report Generation - Update / distribute recurring regulatory compliance reporting- Development of reporting tools to support business requirements - Create dashboard reports using commercial reporting software- Communicate / present data to all levels of management- Identify and formulate solutions to improve existing report distribution process for assigned reports
4. Project Management - Manage all outstanding requests to ensure all projects are completed on time- Provide regular updates to keep end users informed of progress and issues- Lead large scale special project teams as assigned, incorporating standard project management methodologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Project Management, Mathematics, Business Analysis or Statistics (additional experience above the required minimum may be substituted for a degree)
- 5-7 years of report development experience (additional education above the required minimum may be substitued for some experience).
- 4+ years of regulatory reporting or audit experience
- 4+ years of business process and workflow experience
- 3+ years of experience partnering with business owners to define and translate needs into business requirements and web-based solutions
- Understanding of software development life cycle and change management processes
- Proven project management experience
- Capability of setting direction and motivating team members inside and outside the direct reporting line
- Strong working knowledge of SQL Server/T-SQL programming or SAS programming- Demonstrated ability to brief executive management
