Financial Planning Associate Job Opening in Kansas City, Kansas - What we are offering:
We are currently seeking a Financial Planning Associate in Prairie Village, KS, to support our current Advisors and assist with the firm?s investment management and financial planning committees. This position is a stepping stone for eventual advancement into a Lead Advisor role and expanded client relationship management responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is interested in a long-term position, opportunities for real growth and the long-term possibility of partnership.
This is a great opportunity to learn all aspects of comprehensive financial planning in a no-sales environment. The person in this role must have the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team and have a passion for client-centered financial planning.
What you will get to do:
Work directly with the Advisors to prepare client meetings; review each client?s specific situation; prepare any necessary reports and analyses
Create, implement, and monitor comprehensive retirement plans for clients
Prepare financial plans and analyze portfolio performance
Perform projects for the firm?s investment management and financial planning committees, as such researching best practice financial planning processes/tools and investments
Attend client meetings, present the analysis and recommendations, document meeting highlights and action items for follow up
What we seek in a candidate:
Bachelor?s degree in a related field (Finance, Financial Planning, Business, Accounting, Human Ecology, Psychology or other related field)
2-5 years of Financial Planning experience
Strong Interest and willingness in obtaining Certified Financial Planner® designation; we will help you pay for it!
Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency
Logic, analytical, and mathematical skills; a passion for serving others
Strong client service and communication skills
