Inside Sales Representative Job Opening in Klamath Falls, Oregon - This position initiates sales of Particleboard and coordinates the needs of our customers with the daily activities of the Particleboard Team and partners with the Particleboard Team to achieve goals in sales, quality, productivity and safety. This position offers a diverse and exciting challenge that demands personal commitment, flexibility and a wide range of sales and administrative skills.
Position Responsibilities:
Understand strategic marketing direction of company and take ownership of implementation effort (i.e. ? customer optimization, market segmentation)
Within corporate strategy, conduct market research and develop sales leads.
Travel as necessary to establish new customers and/or to rectify quality concerns customers may have.
Initiate sales calls and procure purchase orders.
Respond to daily phone calls and questions with inquiries from current and potential customers.
Must be able to work as a team member with Particleboard Sales Team and with Particleboard Operations Team.
Ability to understand costs of production and manufacturing for accurate quotes to customers on new business.
Ensure that customer orders are complete and shipped on time.
Manage order file and order revisions; communicate updates and changes to customers.
Maintain daily contact with production, finishing and shipping.
Manage the process for order acknowledgments and invoicing; hands on order entry.
Manage and process customer claims and complaints.
Coordinate the transportation needs of the department with daily communication to the Collins Transportation Department. Understand various transportation options to minimize freight costs.
Responsible for supplying product samples and literature in response to customer inquiries and new sales leads.
Work closely with scheduler to coordinate product runs ensuring excellent communication between sales, production, finishing, and shipping with a goal of Premier Customer Service.
Insure a safe working environment for self and all other employees.
Position Requirements:
Good understanding of Particleboard manufacturing process.
Excellent problem solving, organizational, and logistical skills.
High personal standards in accuracy, quality, efficiency and urgency to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
Positive attitude.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word a must.
Working knowledge of Lumber Track system a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Courteous and effective skills.
Ability to organize and handle diverse workloads, set priorities with limited supervision.
College degree in related curriculum such as Business, Sales/Marketing, Finance, etc.
Work experience and background in lieu of degree may be a possibility.
Some travel-as necessary.
Willing to accept other duties and projects as assigned.
Must pass Drug Screen
