High Purity Western Regional Sales Manager Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - GEMÜ Valves is seeking a High Purity Regional Sales Manager for the Western half of United States. The ideal candidate has sales experience in the high purity market and resides near Portland, Oregon. Candidate MUST live in the territory or be willing to relocate.
This position requires:
Bachelor?s degree from a 4-yr College or University required
Travel 75% within the western half of the United States
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Duties (Including but not limited to):
Develop, market, and sell the GEMU High Purity product line to all applicable accounts within the Western half of the United States.
Utilize specialized distribution in conjunction with developing OEM accounts that offer profitable growth while minimizing conflict distribution.
Oversee distributor?s work at the end user level and be responsible for developing new accounts. It will be necessary to help manage your distributor?s internal GEMU business as well as developing an annual GEMU business plan for your region.
Set up seminars at A&E firms by working with appropriate Product Managers to influence valve specifications and ensure GEMU is specified. Follow up with Product Manager and Sales Manager to coordinate the specification work, identifying decision makers, and forwarding information to counterparts in sales.
Supply a project update list on a monthly basis for your region.
Submit a travel itinerary two weeks prior to traveling.
Perform all related sales tasks as directed by your manager as they appear.
Manage and coordinate outside sales within defined regional territory.
Develop, implement, and maintain aspects of the marketing plan.
Review analysis of market trends.
Develop and manage service distributors.
Assist in the creation and upgrade of of standard products for Trade shows.
Analyze quotations and specifications for major contracts/projects.
Coordinate OEM?s end users and distributors in the region.
Essential Knowledge/Skills:
Internet and E-Mail Proficiency.
Understanding of Microsoft office.
Excellent communication, problem solving, & customer service skills.
Knowledge of company?s mission, purpose, goals and the role of the employee in achieving them.
Read, write, and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions. (Other preferences will be given for special language skills when there is a business need)
Must be highly organized with excellent time management skills
Must be able to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and work well under pressure
Physical Job Requirements:
Move objects up to 100 pounds with reasonable accommodation
Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with a meal break
Qualification Standards:
Bachelor?s degree from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Other qualifications may be identified as determined by the President or his/her designee.
