Web Frontend Software Engineer Job Opening in Bozeman, Montana - The Web Frontend Engineer will be focused on development of products with a focus on web-front end built on a modern technology stack, as well as contributing to any of the other components of the Golden Helix product suite. Specifically, you will work for the VP of Product and Engineering to take verbal specifications through the development cycle of mock-ups, prototypes, early-access versions, quality testing and customer deployments. A well-rounded programming and systems skill-set with the ability to contribute to any high-priority project as well as strong communications skills are highly valued.

Essential Duties:
Engineering
Work as part of the software engineering team contributing to products for the genomic science industry
Develop robust and intuitive front-end UIs for both embedded product applications and single-page applications
Understand and integrate the data and service components of backbends into the front-ends under development.
Interact with the Software Quality Assurance personnel to provide adequate test cases and revise programs to meet QA criteria.
Write and maintain documentation of changes to computer code, programs and specifications.
Modify and maintain software programs written by others.
Effectively follow instructions and complete assigned projects using individual initiative
Qualifications
A BS in computer science or equivalent. MS or PhD level of education and experience preferred.
Proficient using Linux / Unix for development and deployment to remote servers
Web front-end stack experience with ES6/Babel and one or more frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue etc.
Backend-end framework familiarity such as RoR, Python Django and relational DBs such as MySQL/Postgres
UI and UX design training and experience preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Must be organized, dependable and professional.
